Runefest 2019 kicked off over the weekend, and developer Jagex revealed a number of updates for all versions of RuneScape. First and foremost, Old School RuneScape players can look forward to the Morytania expansion. You’ll soon get to explore the city of Darkmeyer, a vampire city that was previously inaccessible. Upon entering Darkmeyer, players can engage in a variety of sidequests, including a high-level agility course and new activities. The Morytania expansion will release sometime early in 2020.
The Morytania expansion will kick open the gates of the vampyre city of Darkmeyer. Within its darkened, creepy alleys, you’ll find many a new activity, as well as a high-level agility course on which to test your mettle. The sizeable expansion will also add the penultimate quest in the Myreque series, Sins of the Father. Then there’s the new skilling content and group boss, known as the Nightmare of Ashihama. Truth be told, this thing isn’t a whole lot of fun to look at. This latest expansion is set to arrive in early 2020. If you need Buy OSRS GP, you can visit our site z2u.com.
The developer is also adding new quests like the Sins of the Father series, bringing new story elements into the RPG. This is an extension of the Taste of Hope storyline, detailing the rise and fall of certain in-game factions. A previous questline, Land Out of Time, is being expanded. Ranch Out of Time is the new addition, allowing players to raise dinosaurs now, because that’s awesome. This patch will also raise the level cap for the Farming and Herblore skills from 99 to 120.
In one final tidbit, Jagex also confirmed that RuneScape mobile will be getting its first open testing phase later this year. Runescape mobile will feature cross-platform play, offering any active subscriber to take part in the on-the-go adventure. And yes, the mobile port will have access to the new Darkmeyer area.
